Dundee Reveal Plans For New Stadium Development

Detail of Dundee FC's Camperdown Development Dundee Football Club have released an update for their new stadium at Camperdown, along with animations detailing the planned development.

Dundee have played at the Kilmac Stadium since 1899. Located on Dens Road in Dundee, Scotland, it has a capacity of 11,850. The new, larger stadium will seat 15,000 fans. Dundee have been working on the proposal since 2017.

A training facility for the club is an essential part of the development, but it will also include a hotel, retail and housing, plus a conference venue, and leisure activities.



Although no timeline for the project was detailed, their video update shows both Managing Director John Nelms and Technical Director Gordon Strachan as they look back at the progression of the club up to this point and the next steps.

John Nelms, Managing Director said: “It’s time for us to take it to the next step and take it to fruition.

“We have engaged the project consultants, they will now engage with City Council. I’ll be engaging with the leaders of the community. It’s time to get this project off the ground and get something for Dundee that can be a jewel and bring excitement and energy to the city.”
