CHSA Bursary

CHSA Bursary gives financial support for young people going to university - £4,500 over three years.

Anya Squires has just finished her second year in Biomedical Science at the University of Lincoln.

She is using the CHSA Bursary to fund further study. Click on the image and hear Anya explain the difference the Bursary has made.

The Bursary has made a big difference to Phoebe Stevenson, a student teacher at Nottingham Trent University.

The difference the bursary makes, in the words of Molly Black, a current recipient:

“Receiving the bursary has allowed me to have an independent and exciting experience at university.

“A few things I have used my bursary for are: a new laptop, a railcard, stationery and folders, funding my travel and module books.

“University is a really enjoyable experience and has already taught me so many useful skills.”



Key Dates

Closing date for applications: Friday 1st July 2022.

Interview panel: Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st July 2022.

Successful applicants to be announced by 29th July 2022.

Eligibility

  • Children of CHSA members' employees
  • 18 years or over on 1st September 2022
  • Commencing higher education this autumn

Criteria

  • Assessed according to need, worthiness, endeavour, and overall performance.
  • Each candidate also brings something unique, their ‘x-factor’.
