Sodexo’s Vital Spaces Is The ‘Perfect Fit’ For Adidas Deal Adidas has appointed Sodexo as its new workplace partner based on its recently launched Vital Spaces suite of services.

The multi-million-pound, three-year contract, which comes with the option to extend to five years, covers four of the sports brand’s sites within the UK.

Commencing on 1 February Sodexo will deliver a range of services including food, cleaning, grounds maintenance, security, concierge, M&E, and helpdesk based on various elements of its Vital Spaces framework. Sodexo will work with service partners Wx and Circles and will implement its ‘Modern Recipe’ food offer across the sites including a delivered-in service for Adidas’ London colleagues.

The four sites covered in the contract include Adidas’ North Europe HQ in Stockport; distribution centre at Trafford Park, Manchester; London (Herbal House) showroom; and AdiGolf facility in Basingstoke. Sodexo will also provide services to support Adidas events held at its flagship retail store on London’s Oxford Street.

Technology features heavily in Sodexo’s offering with workplace tech and analytics a core component of the new contract. Sodexo will be adopting the use of a next-gen digital platform which encompasses monitoring and reporting; data and analytics; smart workplace services; smart building solutions as well as food services, helpdesk and health and safety functions.

Adidas’ 1,000 strong UK workforce will have access to Sodexo’s Twelve Pay app, enabling users to order ahead from any of Sodexo’s restaurants and outlets, or for those in London to access delivered-in options at the touch of a button from their smart phones. The app also enables hospitality for meetings to be ordered as well as tailored promotions to their location.

Julie Ennis, CEO Corporate Services, Sodexo UK & Ireland, said: This is a great start to the new year and doubly so as Adidas is our first Vital Spaces client. The philosophy behind Vital Spaces is the perfect fit for Adidas, which is an organisation, like our own, that is focussed on people and the employee experience wherever they are working. Culture is of great importance to Adidas and our people-centred approach through Vital Spaces suited their needs perfectly.

“We are looking forward to bringing together our experts to ensure the Adidas workplace experience is one where people can thrive. With health and wellbeing a high priority, we are pleased to support Adidas with ex-England rugby player and Sodexo ambassador Matt Dawson as executive sponsor of a new forum. Matt has worked with Sodexo for a number of years helping clients and our own employees alike with health and wellbeing initiatives.

“Like many organisations, Adidas has had to rethink its approach to workplace dining and with our expertise we will provide Adidas colleagues with a range of delicious and healthy food options wherever they are working ordered through an app.”
